They’re at it again but then groups of this nature never stop. They will outright lie and tell half truths to make a point. It’s up to us to tell the world that these groups are wrong so people will stop listening to them. Sadly, some people will always listen as these hate-mongers will always find followers – other hateful people such as themselves. This time it’s the Family Research Council who are spreading garbage.
We have a lot of groups out there doing their best to make sure that groups like this are identified and what they are is published so the entire world knows. One such group is the Southern Poverty Law Center. They have identified the Family Research Council as nothing but lairs.
The Montgomery, Ala.-based civil-rights group named FRC in the winter edition of its Intelligence Report as one of 13 organizations it considered a hate group based on their “propagation of known falsehoods — claims about [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] people that have been thoroughly discredited by scientific authorities — and repeated.”
But the Southern Poverty Law Center is not the only organization looking after LGBT people. The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is another such group.
Attorneys for GLSEN delivered a cease-and-desist letter today to the Family Research Council, which is selling copies of the video on its website and posted a portion on its YouTube channel.
The video in question takes “Viewers are taken to the offices of Brian Camenker of MassResistance, who tells a tale about a “Little Black Book” that he alleges was distributed by GLSEN to kids in fifth through ninth grades.” MassResistance is also listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The truth is GLSEN never distributed this to anyone and the booklet in question is “actually a guidebook for people over the age of 18 created by the AIDS Action Committee to help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.”
What can I say but “Lies, lies and more lies.” It makes me sick.
To all my friends; gay, straight or trans, I love you all and am so thankful that you’re in my life.
